HOW IM THE FURTHEST FROM “having it all together”

Last week I got the message. A sweet mom who loves to follow Instagram Moms because when mom life gets crazy she turns to those pictures seeing that “we have our life together and maybe one day she will to”

Part of me literally laughed at loud at the fact someone thinks I have it all together and the other part broke inside of me knowing Moms out there are comparing themselves to others Moms.

Today im going to share a few stories in hopes that you will relate to the fact that I am the absolute furthest from having it together!  Although are instagrams are pretty and what you see is not always what you get I’m going to let you in on some of my life, the good, the bad and the ugly.

THE GOOD: This is what you typically see. A happy baby,  a clean house, fresh flowers, make up and hair done.

THE BAD: What you never see and will now see more of. A screaming baby. (Wonder weeks) sleep regression. Going from sleep through the night to up all night partying hard in his crib. The oh crap we don’t have a diaper and he literally just pooped. The mornings where I seriously do not know if I can get out of bed, the crazy weeks of owning your own business, the bad friendships, the hurt feelings, I mean the list goes on and on.

But for now we will focus on the wonder weeks because that’s what’s had our attention for the past few weeks 🙄. Rewind to right before we left for Florida, expert sleeper, we were having to wake him up in the morning, going down like a champ to ... waking up at 11:30, 2:30, 4:30 and wide awake ready to start the day at 6:30. This mama is EXHAUSTED. Not to mention now he has decided to fight sleep so hard he can’t sleep. Our naps have gone from 2 hours to 30 minutes. I feel like when it’s time to put him down we’re right back up again. But hey it’s just a season right?

THE UGLY: You see pretty make up, cute outfits, I got my ish together on insta right? What you don’t see is 99.9% of the time this mama has on sweat pants, no makeup, no bra and probably a hat on to cover up this ratchet hair I’ve got going on.

ITS REAL, ITS RAW, ITS UNCENSORED.

We are real people getting by on smiles and giggles, cos and cas with a WHOLE LOT OF COFFEE and caffeine. We are not perfect but sometimes our social media reels make us look to be.

THE CHALLENGE.

Yesterday I challenged (dared) everyone because goodness forbid you put up a picture that doesn’t look like you have it together that in reality it took 100 shots to get 1 good one, to put up a picture of your everyday life. I’m not go change clothes and look pretty then pick up the baby when he’s crying, I’m talking scroll through your phone, or snap a picture of you RIGHT NOW.

I bet you won’t! In fact if you do I have a little something for you. This is all you have to do.

1. Post a real life picture

2. Tag @southernmodernmom

3. #relatablereel

4. DM me your email :)

that is it, so will you accept this challenge to show the world that we do not have it together?
